This itinerary of 9 Days Relaxing Yoga Tour in the Himalayas is specially planned for those who want to relax in the calm environs of the mighty Himalayan region. You will experience pure bliss during your stay in one of the Ashrams in Rishikesh and your senses will be elated when you feel the serenity of practicing yoga and meditation in a quiet atmosphere over there. This travel schedule planned for nine days will be a peace giving one and the highlights include stay at one of the Ashrams in Rishikesh (which are internationally recognized as the centers for excellence in Yogic science and Meditation art), sightseeing tour of the capital city of India and the holy evening prayers in Har-Ki-Paudi.
Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
open your arrival to Delhi, India you will be received by the representative of “Safe Voyages Tours” who will assist you to your hotel and will also brief you about your tour. After handing over all the relevant documents and details of your tour, our assistant will leave you for a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin your tour to Delhi. We will cover the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and enjoy the Rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Later proceed to visit Raj Ghat, Humayun Tomb, and Qutub Minar. And in the evening, we can visit the President House and India Gate. After a daylong chaotic tour, take an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur
Post breakfast, we will start our journey to the next destination i.e. Jaipur which is also known as Pink City. On arrival, check in to the hotel, if time permits you can enjoy the chaos of local streets and delicacies of Rajasthan taste all at your own. And after refreshing your senses, take an overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start our tour of the city and it is world famous spectacular heritage buildings. We will take you to nearby Amber Fort where the elephant ride from the foothill of Aravalli to the entrance of Amber fort is a must do the activity. Later, visit City Palace, Central Museum, Jantar Mantar (Observatory) and The Hawa Mahal. Late afternoon is kept free to visit the famous markets of Textiles, Gems, Carpets, and handicrafts. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
After breakfast in Jaipur, pack your travel bags to visit Agra. En route to Agra, we will get an opportunity to explore UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fatehpur Sikri where the main attractions are Punch Mahal, Deewan- e-Khaas, Tomb of Salim Chishti and Buland Darwaja. After taking a brief tour there, continue drive to Agra. On arrival to Agra, check in to the hotel. After freshen up we will leave to visit Agra Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daulah, and Mehtab Bagh. And in the evening you are free to explore the city at your leisure. Overnight stay is scheduled in your hotel.
Day 06: Agra – Delhi (210 Kms)
Starting your day with a glimpse of the marvelous Taj Mahal, visit this world heritage property in the dawn to beautify your mind and soul in the calmest way. Later, come back to the hotel to feast on the delicious breakfast and then pack your bags to proceed for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, check in to the hotel to relax. If your time allows then you can take a short walk to Janpath area market and later stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 07: Delhi – Haridwar
After breakfast leave for Haridwar, which is also famous as Ganga-Dwara, as the holy river Ganges enters the plains here. This is one of the seven holy cities in India. On arrival to Haridwar, check in to the hotel and after taking a brief break experience the spirituality of India on your own by exploring the sacred bathing Ghats, ancient temples and chanting priests. In the evening, take a part in the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Hari Ki Pauri Ghat. Overnight stay will remain scheduled at the hotel.
Day 08: Haridwar – Rishikesh
After breakfast; depart for Rishikesh which is also famous as the world capital of Yoga. On arrival at the city, check into the hotel and after taking a short break here; take an introductory visit to your Meditation/Yoga Ashram. In the evening attend the Meditation/Yoga sessions at the Ashram or at the banks of the river Ganges and later in the evening don’t forget to visit the Ganga Ghats for Aarti. Take an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 09: Rishikesh
Take a drive/walk to your Yoga Ashram and practice Yoga/Meditation there under your instructor guidance. Get back to your hotel and take nutritious breakfast, thereafter you are free for individual activities. Then, in evening attend the Meditation/Yoga sessions at the Ashram at the banks of the river Ganges and later in the evening you can visit the Ganga Ghats for Aarti. Take an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 10: Rishikesh – Delhi
After having breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Delhi. On arrival, spend your free time at your own leisure and meanwhile, we assure your safe and happy transfer to the International Airport.
